Get To Know Dr. Shane Drew
Dr. Drew was born and raised in the Tacoma, Washington area. He’s always loved working with his hands. That’s why he majored in biochemistry and minored in ceramic arts while attending the University of Puget Sound. Afterward, Dr. Drew attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry for his dental degree.
Fresh out of dental school, Dr. Drew worked in some large corporate dental offices as an associate dentist. He saw first-hand how some dentists would cut corners and provide sub-par treatment just to maximize their bottom line. And that’s what drove him to begin his own private dental practice.
At Drew Dentistry, Dr. Drew decided to do things differently. He has invested in the technology, training, and expert staff necessary to provide truly comprehensive dental care. And as a private, dentist-owned practice, Dr. Drew can create an environment where patients are always the #1 priority.
When he’s not hard at work at Drew Dentistry, Dr. Drew is passionate about traveling the world with his wife, Holly. He also loves going on long walks with Holly and their dogs, gardening, and taking on new DIY projects around the house.

What to expect
First, you’ll check in with one of our front office team members. Then, you may have to fill out a couple of forms unless you already filled them out online. Then, one of our hygienists will bring you back to one of our modern, well-appointed operatories.
We’ll start with X-rays. After that, Dr. Drew will visit you. He’ll review your X-rays and then perform a comprehensive oral exam and discuss his findings in detail. If you're in good overall oral health, your hygienist will perform a thorough cleaning of your teeth to remove bacteria, plaque, and tartar.
But if there are any areas of concern, Dr. Drew will discuss them with you and come up with a personalized treatment plan that fits into your schedule and your budget.
What To Bring With You
To help streamline your visit, we ask that you bring your insurance card (if applicable) as well as your preferred method of payment. We also recommend bringing in your health history and a list of any medications you’re taking.
